Common questions

Frequently asked questions

Do I need to be Muslim to schedule a meeting?
Not at all. Imam Sherif welcomes everyone regardless of faith background or belief. Many visitors come simply to learn, to seek a compassionate perspective, or to find common ground. There are no prerequisites for reaching out.
How long does a session typically take?
It depends on the service. A general guidance conversation typically runs 20–30 minutes. Counseling sessions — for marriage, family, or premarital preparation — are usually 45–60 minutes. Nikah ceremonies and speaking requests are scheduled based on your specific needs.
Is there a cost?
There is no fixed fee. All meetings are offered as a service to the community. A voluntary contribution is always appreciated but never required, and it will never affect the care or attention you receive.
Can I bring a family member?
Yes, and for marital or family counseling it is often encouraged. Please mention it when you book so Imam Sherif can prepare appropriately for the conversation.
